To Buy or Not to Buy?
I am still deciding whether or not I want to buy Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister. On one hand, the game looks kinda fun, but on the other, when I tried out the demo I hated it. But that could be because my demo of the game was totally messed up, for some reason. Maybe the reason I'm really holding back is that I think this game probably won't compare to WAC (Warnings at Waverly Academy), which I absolutely loved. But ... I really want a new Nancy Drew game because I'm bored out of my skull! So maybe I should just go out and buy Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice instead, which I was going to do earlier. If anyone is reading this, what's your take on VEN?

In reply to what you, like, JUST wrote on my blog: Yes, actually! Nice observation, LOL
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm not sure about TOT. I heard (mostly from Michael's blog) that it was all puzzles, and stuff. Puzzles are fun, but most of the time they just get on my nerves, LOL
I only have two Nancy Drew games, though: Haunting Of Castle Malloy and The Legend Of The Crystal Skull. I liked them, but the one I REALLY want is WAC! I mean, Nancy Drew undercover in a boarding school? AWESOME.
-Maddz (from Slightly Bookish)
Also, I TOTALLY agree with your "About Me" thing! It could practically be MY "About Me", LOL, except for the Star Wars thing, 'cause I've never seen it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments on my blog! So glad I finally know someone who likes The Clique as much as I do. I haven't reviewed any other Clique books, even though I'm up to P.S. I Loathe You, because they're isn't much else to say besides "These books are AWWEEESOOMEE" LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat did you think of the Summer books for The Clique? I didn't really like them all that much. The girls were meaner than usual. I did get them in the gift set thing, so I have a Clique make-up bag, along with some lip gloss (they have funny names like, "Mango-magawd" and "Coco-nawt").
OMG, that is SO cool that you got to meet Lisi!! She seems so awesome, LOL. I did have the first Clique book signed by her, though (you can send it to her, and she'll send it back signed). I nearly died when it finally came in the mail. It says: "For Madison: Stay ah-mazing! ♥ Lisi Harrison"
I keep it by my bed as well, and look at it when I need a good dose of pure happiness, LOL
So, I saw on your profile that one of your favorite books is Just Listen by Sarah Dessen? I LOVE that book! Fave Sarah Dessen book ever, my second and third being Lock & Key and The Truth About Forever. Her books always make me cry at some point, but they're SOOO GOOD!
Have you read anything by Meg Cabot? She's my ABSOLUTE favorite author. ♥♥
I'm working on getting more books by Wendy Mass. I've read Heaven Looks A Lot Like The Mall (which I LOVED), and her Twice Upon a Time series. I'm getting Leap Day soon, but I have yet to check out A Mango-Shaped Space. I'll keep an eye out for it!
Wow, I write really long and detailed comments, LOL! Oh, well. I guess I have a lot to say. I don't know many people who like to read, unfortunately.
BTW, would you like to follow my blog? I'm following yours now :)

ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for following! In the blog-o-verse, it's pretty hard to get people to notice your blog, although I do a pretty good job by leaving my link everywhere I comment, LOL (and a few authors have commented on my blog, which is pretty freakin' awesome!!)
ReplyDeleteI agree with what you said about The Summer Collection: Claire's was the best. And they probably were thrown together a bit, since they had to all come out during the Summer time.
I haven't read Alpha's yet, but I do get the feeling that it just won't be like The Clique. Monster High seems promising, though, Lisi's new series. The cover (and back cover) is soooo cute!
And I totally don't mind about you talking about that signing. I've never been to a book signing before, and I'd love to know what it's like. I always thought they'd be kind of awkward, like: waiting in line, finally meeting the author and saying, "OMG, you're ah-mazing!! Can I get a picture and can you sign my book??!" and then you leave and the next person in line does the same exact thing. Seems strange
Yeah, I just ADORED Just Listen. I think Owen is like the best fiction guy ever, LOL (except maybe Jesse from Meg Cabot's The Mediator series --which is also my favorite book series ever, coincidentally. Have you read them?).
I think Lock & Key may have been a tad too long, too, though I didn't mind because it's Sarah Dessen, and I like long books. :D
I've read most of Meg Cabot's teen books, with the exception of a few Princess Diaries books (I read nearly a book a day with them, too, but then Christmas came and I got new books, so PD got pushed into the backseat. I'm gonna re-read them soon, though, and get the last two, which I still don't have) and the sequel to All-American Girl (half-way through, I realized that I just didn't like Samantha at all, LOL). I love The Mediator (as I mentioned before), and the Airhead series (really goes out with a bang--very satisfying end), and the 1-800-WHERE-R-U books weren't too bad either. Meg Cabot is just awesome, LOL! Have you read her Avalon High books? They're great, AND they're being made into a movie, coming out this Fall (though, it is a DISNEY CHANNEL movie, so I'm not sure it'll be all that good).
LOL, before I read Heaven Looks a Lot Like the Mall, I had NO IDEA there was such a this as an in-verse book! I ordered it off a site called Paperback Swap, and when it got here, I was like, "Oh, my God, it's not a poem is it????" But it was WONDERFUL and I HIGHLY recommend it!
I don't mind reading books where the characters are younger than me, because most of the time they're good books, and, well, I was that age once too, you know?
That sucks about your best friend. I've been homeschooled since I was nine, so I don't really have any friends my age. But I do know what it's like to be ditched by your best friend: my older sister is my BFF, but she recently ditched me when she found a new crowd of people her age, and what she thinks is a "boyfriend". Although, they "broke up". Really, I don't think he even liked her, so it's whatever.
Well, that's enough drama --and WORDS-- for one comment, so I should probably go read or something now, LOL
-Maddz
P.S. We should seriously put "have the ability to write insanely long comments" on our About Me's, LOL. This comment looks like it could be a novel!
Yeah, the girls in Alphas just seem a WHOLE LOT meaner than the Clique girls. Plus, doesn't it have Skye in it (at least I think that's what her name was)? I never liked her. Oh, well. I'll check them out sooner or later.... Probably after The Clique takes it last breath, LOL (so dramatic, but so very true).
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of The Clique, the Clique Manga came out yesterday, according to Borders.com. I was surprised Lisi didn't say anything about it on her blah-g today. It was just another Monsters High chapter. But, she said that was the last chapter she share, so, hopefully, on the blah-g next week there will be info on the manga (or graphic novel, really) and My Little Phony, and other things. Oh, and any news The Clique online show thing would be awesome, too, LOL
And the book signing just sounds awkward, LOL! I think I'd be a little starstruck myself. Still awesome that you got to meet Lisi though. It's funny what she said about Crazy Nina, haha. Nina was SERIOUSLY annoying, LOL
And, yes, Jesse was the ghost. I'll give you a little spoiler: He is totally awesome, and the books get 10 times awesomer when Suze figures that out (that he's awesome, I mean). You should really check them out again. Did you buy them? Or get them from the library? You could also check out Paperbackswap.com, and get them for free practically.
You should really re-read the Airhead books before you get Runaway. I did, and that made Runaway ten times more intense and a lot less confusing (imagine me going, "Wait, who's Felix?" the whole book. That would've happened if I hadn't re-read them, LOL).
I'm pretty worried about the Avalon High movie, too, but as long it's like what I pictured in my head and close to the book, I won't care how cheesy and Disney-ish it is, LOL. Still, I think I would have preferred it as an ABC Family original movie.
Speaking of ABC Family, do you watch that show Pretty Little Liars? It's based on the book series by Sara Shepard (which I haven't read, but I might now), and it's SO GOOD. Picture the Clique, but with older girls, and a LOT of DANGER, LoL
Yeah, my sister's like that with books, too (when she used to read them). She's always like, "Why would I want to read a book when the main character is, like, five years younger than me??"
And you're right about that thing about the Clique girls birthday's. You'd think they'd be all, "OMG, my Sweet 13 is coming up! I need to go ALL OUT" but they never really mention them. Kind of odd, LOL
Homeschooling is different for everybody, I'm sure, but for my family it's like this: I have a little binder that lists what/how much work I have to do in which textbook. Then I do it all, and I'm done for the day. This is cool because let's say I get up at like lunchtime (very common, LOL), I don't have to go "OMG, I'm SO late for school!!" and scramble to get ready or whatever. All I need to do is get up, do what schoolwork I have to do, and be done before dinner (if the work isn't that hard, anyway). I Most of the time, though, my mom gets me up early to work, so it can be done and out of the way. (That never goes as planned though). Then, at the end of the year, we get an evaluation (basically they look over our work) by a teacher and sometimes a short test, so she can say we did enough work or are smart enough or whatever. Kind of a breeze, LOL
ReplyDeletePlus side: I'm really close with my brothers and sisters, which really isn't a bad thing. My mom always says that she would be proud to say that her brothers and sisters are her best friends (they didn't grow up the same way me and my siblings do, i.e. they went to school, and don't really like each other). And I'm happy that my family are my favorite people. But sometimes, it's like, a girl just needs a friend her age who knows what the heck she's talking about (seriously NO ONE in my family likes to read, and they don't get how excited I get when I see the cover of Lisi's new book, or whatever).
So the downside is I didn't get to experience middle school, and I won't get to experience high school. But hey--I do get some good info from books, even though I know it's just fiction, and it's not always real.
Wow, I really just went on and on there, didn't I? Seriously, I think this comment could have been longer than the seventh Harry Potter book (longest book I've ever read, of course, but I'm not sure, did Breaking Dawn edge it by a few pages?). I had to split it into two, because of too many characters! Didn't mean to spill the ups and downs about homeschooling, but I think people are a lot more comfortable sharing secrets to someone who doesn't know them or their family. It's kind of like writing a journal: you don't have to worry about it running around an spreading your secrets. LOL!
Hopefully, in my next comment, I'll just talk about Nancy Drew and books, LOL
-Maddz
Yes, you should seriously check out The Mediator again--you won't regret it!
ReplyDeletePaperback Swap is pretty much what it sounds like. It's basically this:
1. You find books that you have, but don't want anymore, and post them onto the site.
2. If someone wants one of your books, they request it, and you mail it out to them.
3. Once they recieve it, you get a credit to spend on another book on the site (you have a pretty good chance of finding what book you want, unless it's really new and/or popular).
So, yeah, it's pretty fun. I've probably saved my family at least $200, since I would usually get the books at the bookstore. But I've gotten books of PBS that I've never even seen in the bookstore, so that's great too!
You're right about Christopher (although he wasn't technically her Boyfriend). Felix is his genius cousin, and, as I think we've pointed out, pretty forgettable, LOL
Avalon really would be so much better as an ABC Family movie, but I will still be posting the Disney trailer to my blog the second I see it! :)
I don't watch much TV either, but I do like a few shows, and Pretty Little Liars is totally one of them! I would check out the show sometime--it's very DRAMAful, and mysterious, LOL
Yeah, my older sister (I have two, by the way, the older one I've mentioned, and a younger one whose birthday I talked about on my blog--the one with the Rules theme?) used to read a little bit. Like Meg Cabot books, and this other series called Flirt, and then she started Twilight, but never finished it (this sort of baffles me, because how can you not FINISH Twilight? I mean, it's not the ABSOLUTE BEST book in the world, but it's still pretty good!). She's tried to start a few books a couple times, but she says it's just like work or something. I've handed her some pretty good ones, too, but it's always "No". Sigh. Kind of annoying, huh?
Yeah, it would be fun if there was some giant birthday bash for all of the girls or something in the last one, but I'm sure there won't be. Probably just an all-out (middle school) Graduation party.
Yeah, I have five siblings (two sisters, three brothers), so I guess homeschooling is more common in larger families, LOL
And for the "stupid" question: No, I am not homeschooled during the summer, but sometimes my mom has me do some stuff, to "keep my brain working". That's how she is, LOL
BTW, you're controlling friend kind of sounds like an evil Massie, LOL, no offence
Not that I can say for sure, but I'm sure public school will be fine. Different, but fine. (Let me know what it's like though, LOL, so we both can know.) Why are you going to pub school now anyway? For high school?
I have a journal too! It's fun, because when I'm older I can be like, "Oh, I remember that!" or "I shouldn't have even worried about that". I'd like to remember my life as a teenager, so when I'm older I can totally use some of the stuff for when I'm writing best-selling books, LOL, I'll just never say that it actually happened to ME.
My mom reads my journal, and she used to reply back in it (it's on a document on the computer), but she only reads it occasionally now. She had total permission though. In fact it was her idea to do it in the first place. I was kind of against it in the beginning, but then I started writing things that I actually thought, and she would reply and, like, make it better. Plus, some of the stuff I don't really want to say out loud to her, so it's good when she can just READ it, you know?
A life story sounds cool. How does it work? Like a chapter for each day something interesting happens?
I'm currently re-reading the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter, so I can read the newest one Only The Good Spy Young. Yay!
Well, that's enough writing for now. I should get back to reading, LOL
-Maddz
P.S. I'm a total night owl, too. All day I'm bored, but then when it's like 10:00 at night, I start doing a lot of productive things at once, and end up staying up 'til, like, 1 AM. It probably is a good thing I'm homeschooled, LOL, I'd be exhausted having to get up so early in the morning after going to bed so late!
ReplyDeleteI found that description for the last Clique book on Borders.com (I actually put the whole "Harder than getting in is saying goodbye" thing on my Twitter). And I just found out today that there's an ad for A Tale of Two Pretties in My Little Phony! I found it through the "Browse Inside" option Amazon.com has for MLP. You can check it out here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.amazon.com/Clique-13-My-Little-Phony/dp/0316084441/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1279137055&sr=1-1#reader_0316084441
Scroll down past the preview pages for MLP, and then the preview for third Alphas. The ad has Massie and Claire in it!
Yeah, I like collecting books too (I have over 200 now, OMG! I should post pictures of them all on my blog, LOL), but my family had some that we'd never even read, so I put them on there. A lot of them were little chapter books, like you have. We also put a few picture books on there and someone requested them! I actually never thought someone would want them so that was a bit of a surprise!
You can really put any kind of book on PBS, i doesn't only have to be a paperback. The only thing is that they need to be in good condition, not written in, or missing pages, or water damaged, or whatever. You can find out more here:
http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/how_to_swap_books.php
If you post at least 10 books, PBS will give you TWO free credits! They have all the Clique books up to P.S. I Loathe You (including the movie verison of the first book, and the summer collection), so maybe you could add some to your collection?. PaperBack Swap is where I got the first few Clique books, and they were all in great shape.
(And your question about "books of PBS", that was a typo. I meant "Books off of PBS". PBS being Paperback Swap of course. Oops!)
Let me know if you join!
OMG, my sister does that exact same thing!! Like, "If you do the dishes for me, I'll start reading *Book* again!!" I've learned that she really doesn't mean it though, so I'm like, "Yeah, sure you will."
Just last night I told her to read my review for Before I Fall(which you really should check out! I would get it from Wal-Mart, though, since books seem to be cheaper there. I got a paperback of The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks there, and it was $10, instead of like $17 at Books-A-Million!), and she was like, "That sounds pretty good. Put it in my backpack, maybe I'll read it at work tomorrow." So, I did, knowing that she so wouldn't, and I was right. Because guess where the book is now? On my desk, right in front of me, LOL
That's a good point, if My Little Phony is at Christmas, I doubt they'll make it all the way to June/May for graduation. But you never know. I mean it IS The Clique we're talking about. I never thought they'd be expelled and go to Hollywood, but OMG they so did, LOL!
I still don't have These Boots, but I've seen it in the bookstore, and the "Stalk Around The Clock" tattoos are so cute! I must have them, LOL!
Your Life Story definitely sounds interesting! That's a cool idea! I've had some bad times in my life lately (like back in October, my grandmother had a stroke, and my Mom went up to stay with her for six weeks, until my grandmother passed away) and just looking back at my journal entries from then NOW, I'm like, "Wow, I can't believe we even made it through that."
ReplyDeleteI also have one journal for every year, it's much easier that way. So far I have three years: 2008, 2009, 2010. I can't even look at 2008, because part of it involved Twilight obsessiveness for a little while, plus I wasn't very good at writing then. 2009 and this year are good, though, LOL
And, yeah, I'm pretty sure most girls would consider their Mothers reading there journal, like, treason or something, LOL
(By the way, sorry about your cousin. That must have been difficult.)
And, yes I would suggest checking the Gallagher Girl books out again. They are a little confusing at some points, but they're good for the most part. :)
I have a minor love for video games, too. We have a Wii and a PS2 (and my older brother has a PS3). I got seriously addicted to Animal Crossing: City Folk during the time grandmother was in the hospital and my mom was up there with her. I have a three story house, LOL, it's so awesome! Unfortunately, I can't play it anymore because for some reason our Wii isn't working! Like, it won't turn on. It's so annoying, LOL (Do you have the White Wolf Of Icicle Creek for the Wii? I've played the original game on the computer, and it was cool.)
I watch my older brother play his PS3 games a lot (and occasionally play it with him, if I can), and he has a few that I adore (the rest I totally hate, LOL): LittleBigPlanet (best game ever), Heavy Rain (like an interactive movie, very sad and intense) and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (and the sequel). They are all very awesome, but you prob have never heard of any of them, since you only have a Wii?
My room is pretty messy at the moment, too, LOL. I have like four stacks of books on my desk, and one big one on my dresser. I share this room with my older sister, and she's always like, "Come on, let's clean our room" and I'm always like, "I don't really feel like it..." and then on other days, it's the complete opposite, LOL
Well, there's another novel comment (again, too many characters!), haha. We should really find a forum message board or something to chat about things, instead of comments on blogs, LOL. Oh well!
-Maddz
Yeah, I once previewed a book on Amazon, like, a month before it was out. I e-mailed the author about it, but she never answered, LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd the ad was so cute, yet so sad! I liked how Massie was like, "Ehmagawd! Did you hear that this is the final Clique book?!" And Claire was looking at her like, "That's not a good thing, Mass."
Speaking of The Clique, I was just watching the movie with my Mom, LOL. She'd never seen it before, and she originally didn't want me to get the books because, and I quote, "The girls look snobby on the cover." Yeah, she was scoffing throughout the whole movie. XD I was like, "Come on, it's GOOOD!" She didn't agree, I don't think. She liked the whole "message" though. You know, "Be Yourself" or whatever, LOL
I've read one book of Lauren Myracle's, and it was "Eleven". I didn't like it. I hate to be so harsh on a book that a lot of girls love, but it was pretty boring. :P
Anyway, I'm like that with my books too. But I don't usually have to worry about anyone bending them or anything, since I'm the only one who reads them, LOL. My Aunt borrows some, though, sometimes. I'm working on getting her to read The Mediator, haha, but she doesn't come over often.
Your making me want to read These Boots so badly, LOL!! yeah, I get what you mean about the tattoos. I still have all the stickers in the back of P.S. I Loathe You. Mostly because I just want to save them, and also because I don't really have anywhere to put a heart sticker that says "Lip-kiss me" LOL
Yeah, I think everyone who reads Twilight has a mini-obsession over it, LOL. Well, except maybe my sister, XD Have you seen Eclipse yet?
OMG, Blondes vs. Brunettes sounds AWESOME, LOL. What a funny idea, haha. I once had a story called, "Zoo Escape" about a girl who got stuck in a Zoo over night, and met this ghost guy named Mickey (nickname: Mouse. LOL, I'm so creative). Then a lion came out and attacked them, only it turns out that the lion was a ghost too! LOL, the idea was fun, but the writing is HORRENDOUS. I should really re-write it one of these days, LOL. Recently, though, I've written a first chapter in a story, that I think happens to be really good. Of course, after writing and re-writing and perfecting the 12-page first chapter, I'm kind of stuck the second chapter, LOL
Yeah, my Grandfather on my Dad's side and my grandmother on my Mother's side have passed away. Before that, it sort of felt like no one I knew what ever die, like you'd think it'd never happen to you, but then it does. Kind of like that book Before I Fall.
And, OMG, I can't believe this, but my little brothers were trying to fix the Wii earlier because they wanted to play it, and they figured out that it wasn't working because...it wasn't plugged in. This is even more stupid, because when we thought it broke, I checked to make sure everything was plugged in! I can't believe, LOL. Oh well, at least it works. Now I can go play Animal Crossing: City Folk again! Yay! I am going to have some SERIOUS bedhead, though. And probably cockroaches in my house. :/
ReplyDeleteMy sister was the one who bought the Wii, 'cause then she had recently gotten a job, and wanted to spend money, LOL. She barely even plays it anymore though, except for AC:CF every now and then.
White Wolf is pretty fun. What made my sister buy it was the fact that you could make food, and we thought that was so cool, LOL. (Turns out the food-making is very stressful, because you have a set amount of time or something.) You play as Nancy as an undercover maid (and cook, obvs), LOL. You have to make beds, gather laundry, do other things around the resort, like shovel ice of the pond or something (very hard). You can't call Bess and George, though, only Ned. This stinks, because Bess and George are the best!!
My mom would do that, too! Threaten to throw stuff away. Or give it away, really. She'd always be like, "Well, maybe we should give your toys away to someone who would take care of them". It used to be, like, the worst threat, LOL
I like to keep a lot of things too, mostly for sentimental value, no matter how small. My mom doesn't really get it, though, LOL. She'll be like, "it's just a ____, why do you need it?" And I'll be like, "'Cause I got that from a friend" or whatever the reason.
Have you heard about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park place, at Universal Studios? It looks SO COOL! It's so detailed, too. They even made a recipe for Butterbeer!! Yeah, they talked to J.K. Rowling about it and everything! I totally want to go, but it's a couple hours away, and I'm sure it's pretty expensive. I'm lucky I live in Florida (which is where it is), though, 'cause I at least have a better chance then people who live in another state. :/
ReplyDeleteHave you heard of The Ghost And The Goth by Stacey Kade? I've talked about it on my blog a few times, and I've emailed the author (SHE emailed back and was SO cool!), and talked to her on Twitter. She's awesome, and she got amazingly cool a few days ago when she direct messaged me (on Twitter) and asked for my address so she could put me on the ARC list for her second book, the sequel to G&G, called Queen Of The Dead. I nearly fainted, because an ARC is an acronym for "Advanced Readers Copy" which are early copies of the book that publishers send out to reviewers and other authors.
There's not a big chance I'll get one, since my book blog isn't very popular, and the publishers ultimately decide who gets the ARCs, but I was like SO HAPPY that she would even think about putting me on the list!! Now I need to write a kick-butt review for The Ghost And The Goth, so she'll want me to get an ARC even more, LOL!
Anyway, I'm totally rambling, but I just had to talk about it, because it's still so awesome!!
So, yeah. I think I'm gonna go play Animal Crossing, or, since I've been talking to you about it and just watched the movie, perhaps I'll start P.S. I Loathe You??
By the way, have you checked out The Cliquetionary?? It looks so cute! I HAVE to get it soon! But I should get These Boots first, probably.
-Maddz
Yeah, the acting was pretty bad at times (Along with Bean, I think Claire's Mom was a pretty good actress!), but they def picked the right girls for the part! I thought the girl who played Massie was perfect! (Although, I think think the girl who is Massie on Massie's summer book looks the part even more.) But OMG what did they do with Dylan? They gave her crazy outfits and and her hair was so weird, LOL
ReplyDeleteThe first time I saw the movie, it was with my older sister, and I had never read the books. We were kind of surprised when they swore, but we were even more shocked later when Claire was crying and was like, "You wouldn't understand" to her Mom, and her Mom was like, "Yeah, because I was never twelve." Me and my sister were like, "THEY'RE ONLY TWELVE?!"
I mean, I'm 14 and even I don't swear, LOL
It's still a good movie, and very close to the book, so I'm happy with it. It's fun to watch every now and then :)
Oh, my goodness you make These Boots sound so crazy!! What kind of surprise is in it?
OMG, Eclipse for a DOLLAR? Good deal, haha. I don't go too many garage sales because my neighborhood never has any. But when we do I always browse over the books, but they never seem to have any, unfortunately.
I want to re-read the Twilight series very soon, because I haven't read them in over a year, and I kind of forgot what made them so wonderful. What did you think of the New Moon movie? I kind of thought it was better than Twilight (which is weird considering New Moon was, like, my least fave book. Team Edward, haha), but I actually haven't watched Twilight in a while. I don't know, I think the acting is just awkward, LOL. Like it doesn't seem like Bella and Edward even like each other that much. Anyway, I haven't seen Eclipse yet, but, considering how often I go to the movies, I'll probably be waiting until the DVD. I heard it was like the best out of the Twilight movies, though. I'm kind of nervous for Breaking Dawn (parts 1 & 2), what with Reneesme (OMG, how do you spell her name??) and all. I hope it's not rated R, LOL (By the way, it's cool that you can play Bella's Lullaby, LOL, piano songs are so pretty!)
Yeah, the Wii is fixed, but we almost had a catastrophe with the Wiimotes!! We thought the batteries were dead, because it wouldn't connect or anything, so we were literally scavenged the whole house for spare double A batteries, LOL. Turns out that because the Wii had been off for like, three months, the Wiimotes needed to be sync-ed up again. Oops. (We seem to be incompetant when it comes to our Wii, haha)
ReplyDeleteAfter that though, I got back on my Animal Crossing. All my neighbors thought I was dead, or something, LOL (Also, so cool that you know how to play that Roost song, too! LOL!)
When we first started this game, my sister discovered a fantastic website for it. Seriously it has EVERYTHING. From which answers to choose for the right haircut, to every villager and their birthdays. It's AWESOME. You can check it out here: http://accf.wikispaces.com/
And yeah, we should swap friend codes! I've never really had anyone come to my town before, so I'd have to figure out how, but it'd be fun! I'll look up my friend code tomorrow, though, as it's 1:00 in the morning, LOL
Yeah, I played the mini-game for the cooking part in WAC on Her Interactive. So fun!! Makes me want that game even more!
OMG, Nancy, Bess and George as Halloween costumes? If you do do it, that'd be so fun, LOL! To be a convincing Nancy, you should walk up to a door or something, and be like, "It's locked!" because I swear she says that in every Nancy Drew game (I watch Michael's walkthroughs, LOL)!
LOL, luckily I have a little sister, so I can give all my Barbies and things to her, and still see them! But when the day comes for my Mom to go in my little sisters room, and say, "We should get rid of some things" I'll be devastated, LOL!
OMG, it being hot here in Florida every day is such an understatement! It's blazing out here! Especially since it's Summer, most days it's like 90 degrees! It's cool you live in Washington, though, even if it does rain a lot, haha. Ever been to Forks? LOL
yeah, I've flipped through Boys-R-Us, and oh my, it seems like there is a war of the Cliques! I can't believe it! Everything's changed again, LOL! ut I know that it's all better by the end, so that's good.
My fave Clique book, besides the first one, is Bratfest at Tiffany's, I think. I really liked it for some reason. Your's is Invasion of The Boy Snatchers, though, right?
LOL that the Cliquetionary wasn't "advanced enough reading". That's classic XD
Anyway, I'd better go now, since, like I said, it's 1:00 in the morning (although, now it's 2:00...)
-Maddz
I think Alicia was a little too innocent-looking. She's supposed to look like that, yeah, but she seemed really, really young to me, LOL. Also, even if Todd didn't have red hair, he still embodied Todd's all-around creepiness, LOL
ReplyDeleteDid you know the girl who plays Kristin has her own Disney show now? It's called "Good Luck, Charlie". When my little brothers and sisters are watching it and I happen to walk by, I'm always like, "Look! It's Kristin!!" I actually don't even know what her character's name is on the show. I think it's like, Teddy or something. Anyway, I also heard that the girl who plays Alicia is gonna be like guest-starring on that show eventually. (Found this on IMDB.com, very helpful). And, while I'm still talking about the actresses who play the Clique girls, did you know Ellen Marlow (Claire) was on Broadway when she was younger? Yeah, she has an AMAZING voice! Just search "No Good Deed Ellen Marlow" or something on YouTube, and you'll see what I'm saying!
OMG, I have the same opinion about swearing (I cna't believe we're talking about this, LOL). My sister will swear sometimes, and I just think it makes her sound stupid or immature. But, now that I think about it, "tacky" is definitley the word I'm thinking of.
LOL, of course the secret in These Boots involves Massie. I should've known, LOL
That sounds fun, going out to Garage sales with your Dad every Saturday. Even if you do have to go at 7:00 AM! (But I guess all the good garage sales start really early)
Yeah, let's hope they keep Breaking Dawn PG-13, or else it would be really hard to explain to my mother that, no, I can't see Breaking Dawn because it's rated R, LOL. But then again, a lot of Twilight fans are our age, and I think the movie people would lose money if they're movie was too old for most of the fans LOL
And, OMG, you got to see Toy Story 3 already?!? My family has been planning to see it for weeks, but we haven't gotten around to it yet, unfortunately. It's probably silly to some people, because I'm 14 and I want to see Toy Story, but 1) Pixar makes fantastic movies and 2) I loved Toy Story 1 and 2 when I was little, LOL! So I think my whole family is excited about it, even my older brother who is 20 years old, haha
You kind of figure Nintento would have called them Wiimotes to begin with, I mean the nickname is so obvious, LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, reading music is very hard, LOL, not that I've tried. But I remember learning what the notes were called in Kindergarten or something. Seems confusing!
That AC website is SO HELPFUL! Plus, it let me find out a LOT more things that you can do in the game, that I would've never known about, LOL
I'll go on AC tonight to get mine, so I'll get back to you with that. It'll be fun to visit someone else's town! My sister's only visited someone else's town once before, and that was a long time ago, LOL. I found out that after you goto someone else's town, you can then send mail to them! Fun! And no, I don't have Wii Speak, but I think I can type pretty fast with the Wiimote, LOL. I spent most of the time picking all the weeds the other night when I was playing, LOL, there were SO MANY. Which is weird considering all my grass is wearing down.
My town's name is Toy Town (and my person's name is Maddz, of course), LOL! My sister named it that in a moment of bad judgement (she totally hates that name now). Our old town used to be Oakhaven, and she got the name from an insane asylam on a soap opera she used to watch, LOL. She thought it was a cool name, but I always joked that our little people were living with a bunch of crazy animals, LOL
OMG, I had no idea those bugs could sell so much! I'm so gonna check that out tonight. Did you know that you can get a tan in the summertime if you stand on the beach for a while or something? That's so funny, LOL
Yeah, I think a turtle neck and long skirt would be perfect for Nancy! As for shoes, I think she wears pumps, like mini heals. Or you could go with some cute sandals? And, yes, I'm pretty sure the Trick-Or-Treat bucket would mess with the costume, LOL! I would try some kind of stylish purse? Or at least a plain paper bag, LOL
My little sister does get on my nerves sometimes, but she's all right. Big brothers are awesome, too, though, even if they don't seem like it, LOL
Yeah, on my DVD of New Moon, there's a little thing about the town of Forks, and how it's changed since Twilight came out, LOL. I feel bad for the people who live there and actually hate Twilight. It must be kind of suffocating! And yeah, that is so cool that you were in that parking lot, LOL! Like Taylor Lautner ACTUALLY STOOD THERE, haha. Taylor plays Jacob, and he SO CUTE, haha
I don't know why I even liked Bratfest, considering that Alicia was ditching them and everything was crazy, but I was just so into it. They were in trailers, yeah, but they turned it into a giant Tiffany's box or something, LOL, Massie's so funny. I liked how in Boy Snatchers, Claire and Massie were like BFF's, I thought that was really cool for some reason.
For last year, my journal was 350-ish pages, mostly because I write a lot, and also because I put a lot of pictures and book covers, and descriptions of books I wanted. I want to have it made into a book, which I can do by going on Lulu.com. (It's a self-publishing site, but I'm gonna keep my journal private, and not sell it, of course. I just want it bound, so it's a keepsake or something.)
-Maddz
OMG, I just checked and you're right--"Alicia" sings the song "Find My Place" in, which if I'm right, plays the first time they're in the cafeteria? That's so cool, I never noticed it before! But really they should have gotten Ellen Marlow (Claire) to sing something!! Seriously, AH-MAZING voice! The soundtrack is fun though! It's extrememly pop-y, but it's still fun to dance too, haha. I like "Look But Don't Touch" and "That Girl", LOL
ReplyDeleteOMG, seriously something BAD must happen in These Boots if you're second-guessing about liking Claire!
And, OMG at the birth scene. That is going to be SO AWKWARD, LOL! I might wait for DVD on that one XD
We might actually be seeing Toy Story tomorrow!! Yay! I'll be bringing tissues, haha. I'm hoping we go for sure, though, because when I talked to my mom it didn't seem definite. *crosses fingers*
Yeah, we just learned like the basic music notes and things, we didn't really get what they meant though. It may have been first or second grade though, not sure. I do remember playing the recorder though, in third grade! I was so excited, because I was like, "OMG, I get to know how to play an actual instrument". I only learned a few notes, though, and then it was the end of the year, and the next year and we started homsechooling.
Haha, yeah there is SO MUCH info on that Animal Crossing site. Like, if I had never found it, I would've never known how to do a lot of things. And it even has where/when you can catch certain fish! It's so crazy!
I registered you on my Friend Roster, so here's my friend code, so you can add me: 5156-7418-0870
Gambling, musical chairs, and deal or no deal?? AWESOME. When should we play? I'm pretty sure there's like a three hour time difference, from here and Washington. A good time for me, would probably be at night, when nothing is going on and everyone else is asleep. So like 11:00 PM for me and...like, 9:00-ish for you (or is it 8:00-ish? *bad at time differences*)? My brother actually has a wireless USB keyboard now that I think of it, for his PS3. I asked him if I could borrow it, when we meet up on Animal Crossing, and he said it depends on if he's actually using the keyboard then, LOL. If not, I'll be typing letters, one by one, with an unsteady hand. I really hope he won't need it!! (By the way, where do you plug in the USB thing? Do you have to have an adapter or something? *very incompetent with Wii technology*)
LOL, "reverse MJ". Nice, haha. I was fishing at the beach today on AC, and I nearly caught a SHARK!! I'm pretty sure those sell for, like, 50,000!! But I pulled up to early and he swam away. :(
Yeah, I don't have any kind of heels either really, but mostly because I don't have many fancy places to wear them to! I always make my sister try on the tallest heels in the store though, whenever we happen to see some (because of course they're never my size!). Anyway, I would go with some strappy sandals, or a very nice clean pair of sneakers? Nancy is a very organized person, you know, LOL
OMG, you're exactly right about Robert Pattinson! He is not cute at all, LOL! Especially in that part in New Moon, when he's in Italy and about to step out into the sun, with his shirt off, I'm always like, "OMG, eeewwww!" LOL, I'm Team Edward, but when it comes to the actors, I'm Team Taylor, LOL
Yeah, my journal staying for my (and my Mom's, and...maybe my sister's too) eyes only! LOL! But maybe, like when I'm really old, I'll pass it down to my daughter, and then my granddaughter or something. That'd be kind of cool :)
-Maddz
OMG, we did get to see Toy Story 3 today! WOW. Pixar makes amazing, yet heartbreaking movies!!! Spanish Buzz and Tortilla Potato Head (And not to mention Ken and Barbie), seriouls cracked me up, LOL! But everything else was very sad! But in good way, kind of. The beginning made me cry, when they were trying to get Andy to play with them, by stealing his cell phone (Sometimes, I have to do that with my sister. Steal her cell phone to get her to pay attention to anything I say). And everything else was just so good!! Did you know that the garbage man with the headphones was Sid from the first one? Yeah, LOL, he's even wearing the same shirt, haha. Anyway, what a GREAT movie! It made me cry a lot, though, especially at the end :( My Mom said she didn't cry, but I so don't believe her. I mean, even my older brother cried!)
ReplyDelete(Also, you've seen Spirited Away? Love that movie!)
12:30 would probably be good, I'd just have to bring the Wii up to my room, because I don't like being downstairs (where the Wii is) so late. If you can get on any earlier let me know. We could play tonight, probably. It'd be good for me. If we have any problems or are late or something, we should leave a comment on this blog, just in case. I'll find out if I can borrow that keyboard, but I might not be able to because my brother is in a bad mood :/
I am so going to check out that shark, when I visit! I want to see what it looks like, haha
Now, since we've covered everything from books to movies, how about music? One of my favorite bands is Paramore, and I also like Taylor Swift and Owl City.
-Maddz
Sid was the garbage man in the beginning who nearly threw them all away. He was at the end, too, but not in the scene with Lotso.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yeah at the very end with Andy was playing with the little girl, I was like, "OMG, he's playing them all one last time!" and cried my eyes out, LOL. Man, Pixar knows how to tug at people's heartstrings!!
Spirited Away WAS strange, but it was pretty amazing. It was kind of creepy at some parts because of the black ghost with the mask...I forgot his name. Or did he even have one? Hmm...Anyway, that "One Summer's Day" is SO AMAZING, LOL! I'll add that to my favorites on my computer, haha, wonderful (BTW, have you ever seen Kiki's Delivery Service?)
I'll be online and ready at 12:30-ish probably. My brother is working tomorrow, so he'll be going to sleep early, and won't need the keyboard!! YES, I will be able to type much faster now. :)
Oh, I just remembered, who's town should we visit first? SHould I go to yours? Or how about you come to mine first, that way you can just walk in and I'll know your there, instead of me trying to get into your town, LOL.
Yeah, there are certain songs from video games that I like as well, but there was this song in the trailer for a game my brother has (Heavy Rain) and it's sooooo amazing! You just have to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_pzIWp5kCA
It's weird, there's like so much emotion in it, LOL
Anyway, see you in Animal Crossing...hopefully! If you can't come or are late, or whatever, just comment on my blog, and I'll comment back on yours, like always.
-Maddz
I think the Toy Story movies will go down in history as the movies that Never Get Old. And, yeah, I have one stuffed animal that I've had since I was like four, and I had the overwhelming urge to give a big hug yesterday, LOL
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, "No-Face" that's it. Yeah, he was pretty scary. That's funny that your friend likes him so much. Maybe if you showed her the whole movie she'd change her mind, LOL
Kiki's Delivery Service is an AWESOME movie that I used to love when I was little. I'm fairly sure it was made by the same people who made Spirited Away. Instead of obsessing over No-Face, your friend (or you, haha) should definitly obsess over Jiji, who is an insanely adorable talking kitty in Kiki's Delivery Service. Here's a scene that he speaks in (right at the beginning he talks, but you still see him throughout the whole clip):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2NVl9n4qWY&feature=related
LOL, he's so adorable!
The beginning of that Sonic song is pretty creepy, but the last half is very pretty! Love! We still occasionally play the original sonic games on the SEGA, but only when the SEGA decides to work, LOL. Those games only had crazy chase music, haha
There is a song that is very similar to that Heavy Rain song, called "Requiem For A Dream". A lot of people put a bunch of Star Wars clips to it. My brother watches them, even though he's barely ever seen the movies, LOL. Here's a good one, if you wanna watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRXZ_ImEJ0Y
I've never seen Avatar, but we have a borrowed copy of the DVD downstairs. We have yet to watch it, LOL. Have you seen it?
LOL, last night was fun in Animal Crossing! So awesome, and I'm REALLY glad I had the keyboard from my brother! That would've been hard, otherwise. We could play at the same time tonight, but 1) I stayed up way late last night and 2) I probably wouldn't be able to borrow the keyboard again.
What if we play it right now? Or in an hour or two? My brother is working until 4:00 pm, my time, and it's 2:00 now. Let me know!
-Maddz
P.S. Hopefully Lisi will blah-g about something Clique-related, like the web series, or the manga?
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm on right now, and I can play for about 45 minutes-ish. Open your gates, quick! I'll have mine open.
ReplyDeleteIf not, we'll meet up same time tonight (midnight-ish for me, 9:00-ish for you, unless you can come earlier or something)
-Maddz
'Kay, never mind I'm off now. We'll meet tonight and I shall have keyboard!
ReplyDelete-Maddz
OMG, I'm sorry but my sister got this new Wii game today, and she wants to play it (yeah, she waited until NOW to play it), so I can't come on Animal Crossing tonight! Maybe tomorrow though, like during the day. I'm free at anytime between 1:00 to 4:00 PM my time, tomorrow afternoon. If not, we could try another time. Sorry!!
ReplyDeleteUgh, this whole three-hours-difference thing is so confusing/annoying!
-Maddz
Haha, today was so fun! I think I picked up nearly all the fruit on the ground by your brother's house, LOL! But I will now get a basement! AWESOME. I just need to figure out how to decorate it, LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Wii code is this: 7555 1770 2531 4775
Send me those pics! Especially the one of us "swimming" haha.
Anyway, we'll try to play again sometime next week maybe? Maybe during the day like today.
Oh, and if you like more video game music, you should check out the soundtrack to "Kingdom Hearts" especially "Dearly Beloved" and "Simple and Clean". Sooo lovely ♥♥♥
-Maddz
Awesome pictures, LOL! They are so cute, wish I could get them on my computer (note to self: figure out how to do that!)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I miss the long comments too! We need more to talk about, LOL. So how about this: I watched the first half of "La Belle Et La BĂȘte" aka 1947 real life French version of "Beauty And The Beast"
I recorded it the other night when I saw it was on, and I had no idea that it was in French, with english subtitles!! It's still very beautiful and easy to understand. Very different from Walt Disney's verison, lol
Also, my mom is going to Missouri for the weekend. (this begs the question "why?" and my long detailed answer. See how I keep the conversation going? LOL)
Ugh, my head hurts from lack of sleep. Going to bed now :/
-Maddz
Okay, I figured out that you can't take pictures from the Wii and put it on the SD card. You can take pictures FROM the SD card and put them on your Wii (I think), but there is no way to take our awesome AC pictures and put them on the computer unless I take them. (I'll need to figure out why my SD card is "write-protected". Ugh.) But, I wonder if I go on the internet (on the Wii), go to my blog and make a new post, and click the upload picture button...will all the pictures we have on the Wii come up? Hmmmmm....It probably won't work, but I'll check that out tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLOL, yeah, the last time I saw Walt Disney's Beauty And The Beast was...I don't know how long ago. Great movie, though, haha. I'm going to make a plan, so that on Sister's Day (August 5--it's a Hallmark Holiday, I think) me and my two sisters are going to chill out in the living room, and watch all the Disney Princess movies, LOL! This sounds AWESOME, haha
Oooh, hiking. I've never been. Sounds scary (I mean, if you, like, camp out for a night), LOL. I take it you made it back alive? Haha
Also, oooh, good paragraph from Eclipse. Poor Jacob. :( One of my favorite parts from Breaking Dawn was the end where Bella was letting Edward read her mind, and she was showing him all her happy memories, and stuff. I thought that was really sweet :)
OMG my legs hurt, LOL. In my closet, I have a big top shelf that I keep all of my YA (young adult) books on, and I decided to reorganize it tonight. But, like I said, it was a TOP shelf, so I couldn't quite reach. So, I hopped on and off my computer chair about a million times tonight! Ugh... But my bookshelf looks super fabulous now, so I guess book beauty is pain, LOL! I only had so much room, though, so Harry Potter got the boot, LOL. Those books will be going downstairs, with all the other books in my house. Anyway, maybe I'll post some pictures (of my bookshelf) on my blog this week, because it was a lot of work, and it IS super pretty...
Oh, guess what? I'm going to get another signed book! Yes, I asked the author of Rules (the book we based my little sister's birthday theme on) if we could send her our book to sign, and she said "Yeah, send it to me!" so we sent it out last week. Hopefully, she'll send it back faster than Lisi did, LOL (but then again The Clique had to go through the publisher, and then to Lisi, so that must have taken some time). Anyway, I'm so excited! I'll definitely be posting pics of that on my blog, and I think I'll put up the pics of my signed Clique book, too, since I never got around to doing that...
Well, I'm just chatting away now, aren't I? I better go to sleep, LOL. I have to get up early, because my Dad, older sister and brother are all working, and my Mom is still on her way back from Missouri (the trip takes 22 hours, one way!), so I'll be watching my little brothers and sister. Oh, boy, it shall be an interesting morning, LOL
-Maddz
LOL, Aristocats! I used to watch that movie a lot. I remember when my little sister was like, 3 or 4 she got ADDICTED to Cinderella. It was constantly on and everyone else got so sick of it, LOL, but she always watched it. And then the sequel came out, and she started watching that one instead! I don't even think she remembers it now, but I probably know all the lines from Cinderella by heart :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, see, camping? Does not sound like fun, lol. Once we were in North Carolina, and we got to see snow, and it was AWESOME, because we'd never seen it before (being in Florida and all), but then we realized it was WET and REALLY COLD, LOL. So we went on a hike to see a waterfall, looking like total tourists (we didn't have the right kind of jackets or anything, so we each wore like five sweaters, LOL) and nearly froze, LOL That was an insane day.
Breaking Dawn is on of those books that takes so much effort to read, LOL. I mean, it's like 700 pages long and it kind of goes on forever, LOL. Not that you really want it to end :)
That part I was talking about was on the last few pages, by the way.
Sounds like your cousin judged The Clique by its cover, and now she doesn't want to be a hypocrite by admitting she actually likes them, LOL I can't believe you got the Manga! Did you get to read it before your cousin took it? Was did it look like?? LOL, I HAVE to go to the store soon, so I can at least look at it!
And, I can't believe you even lent Boy Snatchers to your cousin, LOL. My little sister might be able to read my signed Clique book eventually, and I'll lend it to her because she's careful with books, and she's in the same house as I am, but as for lending it to someone else? I don't think so, LOL. I mean, you never know when you'd need a good pure happiness boost, LOL
You should reorganize the bookshelf, LOL! It was kind of fun for me, though that must sound awfully weird, LOL But I liked getting all my favorite books down and reminiscing, you know. Plus, I like it when things are organized :D
Posting videos and pictures on your blog is actually incredibly easy, LOL. First you need to make sure the videos and picture you want are on the computer. Then you go to post a new entry/post thing and type up whatever your going to say, and then when you need the picture and/or video you go up to the bar on the blogger thing, where it has like the font types the Bold/Italic buttons and stuff, and there will be one button that looks like one of those film things that they use to say "Take 1, and...action!" which you click to pick a video out of your documents (go the the "my videos" folder") Same thing for pictures, except the button looks like snapshot.
You don't actually have to upload vids to YouTube to put them on your blog, but that is another way to do it.
If you have any more questions about that stuff, let me know! And I would love to see the vid of Lisi! She's so cool, LOL
Yeah, Rules was my sisters birthday theme, and was so awesome, LOL I'm worried that the author will be expecting something more in our package, since we DID have her books as a birthday party theme (and she knows about it, because she commented on that post, and talked about it on her blog. AWESOME, I know), but I only put the book and a note for her to sign it (though it was a very nice note). GULP, I hope she won't be disappointed :(
You should do a post about The Clique! Maybe the imaginary people who read my blog, will come over to yours, read the Clique post, and love the Clique, too! LOL, you never know!
ReplyDeleteYeah, my mom drove. She got back a couple of hours ago, and is now sleeping, since she drove through the night. I hope she'd wake up already, though, because I have a bunch of things to tell her about. Plus, I want to show her my bookshelf, LOL!
Yeah, contacts seem scary to me, too. My older sister wants to try some, because she doesn't like glasses, but she's worried that she'll look weird WITHOUT glasses since she's had them so long, LOL. I've had glasses since first grade though, so I don't really mind them. They kind of look good on me, anyway LOL
I can play AC today, since my bro is working. It's 1:00 for me now, so I probably have three hours to play. Want to meet up?? Comment back really quick if you can, and I'll open my gates.
Yay for long comments!!
-Maddz
Oooh the sequel to The Little Mermaid was good, I remember, but I don't remember anything else about it. This is why we should have a Disney Princess movie marathon, LOL!
ReplyDeleteNo, I'd never seen snow before, not until we went to NC. My older brother and my parents had, but not the rest of us. yes it does get cold in the winter, just not as cold as other places. Like the lowest it gets is in the 40s and that's always late at night. Most of the time, it's in the 60s or 70s. My love family loves winter around here, because we hate the heat! And, yes, the trees change :)
By the way, snow sounds sooo fun. When we went to NC, it was in, like, March so there wasn't a LOT of snow, but there was enough for us Floridians, LOL! We parked in a parking lot of some craft store, and had a snowball fight, LOL, it was awesome and hilarious, at the same time. We also made a mini snow-woman named (LOL, I don't know where the name came from) Sheila. She was only three feet tall and full of sticks and leaves and dirt. (the snow was melting by that time)
yeah, I wasn't a fan of Jacob's part in Breaking Dawn, being Team Edward and all, but imagine if they kept it in Bella's point of view? That would have been so boring. I mean, Bella was sitting on the couch the whole time, LOL. I did like the insight though, when he talked to Edward an everyone else.
Yeah, I was going to post about my lovely bookshelf today, but then The Hunger Games trailer came out, so I did it on that instead. I'm prob not going to post about it tomorrow either though, because OMG MY SIGNED BOOK GOT HERE TODAY!!! I am so happy. Cynthia Lord (the author) was SO cool! She sent us a little card, two book marks for her new book, two personalized reading book marks (one for me and my little sister) AND she of course signed the book, with her name and one of her favorite "Rules" from the book: "Looking closer can make something beautiful"
I AM SO HAPPY right now, LOL!! I need to send another book out to get signed, so this happiness can be back again in a couple weeks!
You could post all of those Lisi videos, but I guess the best ones would be the questions and her talking. Me and my imaginary readers can't wait for the post about The Clique, and My Little Phony...and perhaps some pictures of the Manga??
My sister is planning on testing out contacts next month when we go to the eye doctor, so I'll tell you what she thinks about them! That is if she doesn't chicken out, LOL, but I'm sure she won't. She's just like you on the glasses thing. Only wears them when needed and doesn't like them when they're on, LOL
My brother is working again tomorrow! Huzzah! So we can play tomorrow during the hours of 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon my time, which would be 10:00 to 1:00 your time (though you might want to eat something first, LOL!)
Yay! Hope we can meet up!
-Maddz
Well, it turns out that we're going to see a movie tomorrow. During the time I'd be able to play. Rats.
ReplyDeleteWe could play tonight possibly at 1:00 AM to 2:00 AM, my time. Let me know if you can, but if not, the next time my brother works is Friday, so we could try to play then.
Man it would be much better if we were neighbors or something, so I could just walk over to your house or something LOL
Anyway, let me know!
-Maddz
Yeah, that Little Mermaid sequel was pretty great, I remember. Must watch it again, soon, LOL
ReplyDeleteUgh, someone killed your snowman? Evil! I wonder what happened to Sheila, the snow-woman. She probably melted, LOL
Haha, cleaning bookshelves can only go on for so long, LOL Oh, well.
I only have two other signed books, but I got those purely by luck. I've posted about them on my blog:
http://maddzslightlybookish.blogspot.com/2010/05/book-review-love-meg-by-c-leigh-purtill.html
http://maddzslightlybookish.blogspot.com/search/label/Jennifer%20Lynn%20Barnes
Those obviously weren't signed for me. Only Rules and The Clique have been signed for me. I'm sure you could go on some authors websites and check there contact page, and see if they say anything about signage. (I mean, that's how I found out about Lisi!) Or you could email the author instead. I guess it depends on which author. Obviously, you shouldn't ask J.K. Rowling or Stephenie Meyer, LOL
Funny vid of a squirrel and your cat? MUST SEE, lol
Good luck with the contacts! If my sister gets them before, 'll tell you what she says. I'm sure they'll be fine, though :)
Yay, plans for Animal Crossing! Fun, fun, fun! AC is a good game for online friends, don't you think? Anyway, if you can get on a little earlier, that's fine. I'll open my gates at 12:30 my time which is in like 15 minutes). See you in a little while.
Oh, but since we're getting back into the spirit of long comments, I'll tell you this: My evaluation is August 11. You know, my end of the year review thing, since I'm homeschooled? Yeah, I'm sort of nervous, LOL, even though I'm sure I'll pass. I always get nervous about it though. Anyway, we go to this teacher's house, and she lives a few hours away. The funny thing is, though, every year we go, there ends up being some big thunderstorm, LOL, and it's so awesome. And also, it's like nothing in her house ever moves, LOL. The same jacket and shoes are by the coat rack, the furniture is always in the exact same place, etc... It's so weird, LOL
Well, see you in a little while!
